This is the first book of the PSY-CHANGELING series. I started reading this series because it was most recommended on my book list. Like every one of them recommended this series. So I thought let's try it.
At first I was like what is this psy, changeling(shape-shifter)??. then I started to get deep in the story and BOOM!!!!!!. I was in whole new world. Nalini Singh had my attention from starting to end. I was HOOKED to the book like a druggie and I am still addicted.
The pilot of the this book is situated in late years of 21st century where the psy people are deprived of any emotions. they are the race which takes emotion as a flaw, a breach in the protocol which is called silence. Because that's what happens to people of psy race, silence fell over their emotions.
Sascha Duncan is a cardinal psy,daughter of a powerful council member. But that doesn't let her escape "rehabilitation" after proved to be flawed. She has to conceal her secret even form her mother who can do anything for maintaining family name and reputation in council.
Lucas Hunter is both man and changeling. He the alpha of DarkRiver pack of leopards who as other changelings despises psy race. After so many years of establishment of silence, the changeling and psy race are at war. Because of the murders of the changeling women. To discover more about the psy-race closely he agrees to work with Duncans.
Soon after their first meet the leopard in Lucas discovers that there is something different about this particular psy woman, Sascha. which make him to challenge this woman beyond the limits he set for him. Sascha also discovers that she can very well feel not only emotions but a strong sensation towards this leopard to which she is becoming slave to.
The book is written so well that I bet you can't put it down(so you better do all your chores before starting this series,because no work is going to be done afterwards girl!!). The story also makes you extend your imaginary skills to whole new level.
And OMG I forgot to mention how hot and sexy Lucas is(smoaking hot). GRRRR!!!!!!!
